Athletes and military personnel who are undergoing rigorous training and conditioning in hot, humid weather are particularly vulnerable. From 1941 to 1944, 125 fatal cases of heat stroke were documented among United States Army recruits in basic training(4).

HEAT EXCHANGER FOR IN-GROUND HEAT STORAGE

The first phase of a research project using undisturbed soil for sensible heat storage is described. A laboratory scale model of a heat exchange system was constructed and tested. Thermal charging and recovery rates, modes of heat transport and transient temperature conditions, as well as over-all heat storage performance of the unit are given.

Research on the Electric heating Performance of Heating Materials for Electric Heating Sheet

To explore the factors of heating materials for manufacturing electric heating sheet, metal fiber yarn and carbon nano-film heating materials were selected to research their basic characteristics and heating properties. The heating performance of the two materials was observed by InfraTec infrared thermal imager.
