Heating transition in the hot summer and cold winter zone is crucial for China's energy transition towards carbon neutrality. However, future heating solutions for this region remain debated, particularly whether to use district heating. This study proposes an analytical framework for this region to compare district heating with individual heating from

Heat Transfer in the Heating Zone of Low-Temperature Heat Pipes
AIAA Journal, 1979Reported here are results of an experimental study on the heat-transfer characteristics of liquid evaporation from capillary structures. Thirty-five types of wicks typical for low-temperature heat pipes have been studied. It has been found that at high heat flux densities, there is no liquid boiling in wick structures.

Atmospheric Heating in the Auroral Zones
Nature, 1963ALL the data on atmospheric perturbations related to geomagnetic disturbances1–7 have so far been derived from the drag analysis of artificial satellites with perigees located in low or moderate latitudes. The amplitudes of these perturbations can be accounted for4 by assuming that the heating of the atmosphere above the height of 350 km is ...

Boundary-Layer Meteorology, 1998
Various difficulties with application of Monin–Obukhov similarity theory are surveyed including the influence of growing waves, advection and internal boundary-layer development. These complications are normally important with offshore flow. The transfer coefficient for heat is computed from eddy correlation data taken at a mast two kilometres off the ...

HEAT EXCHANGE IN THE HEATING ZONE OF ALUMINUM GROOVED HEAT PIPES
POWER ENGINEERING: economics, technique, ecologyAt the present time, autonomous closed two-phase heat transfer systems - heat pipes (TT) are increasingly used in the systems for ensuring the thermal regimes of some space and ground vehicles. When developing and using such devices, it is necessary to solve the issue of optimizing the characteristics of these systems, which is most realistic to do on ...

Prediction of residual stresses in the heat affected zone
Journal de Physique IV, 2004In this paper the behavior of a disc made up of carbon manganese steel and subjected to an axisymmetric heating in its middle zone is considered. The applied thermal cycle generates localized metallurgical solid-solid phase transformations. Contrary to the study performed some years ago, the present work is concerned with relatively thick discs that ...
