Type‐II Dirac Fermions in Monolayer In2O: Interplay of Magnetotransport, Spin Hall Effect, and Superconductivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
First‐principles calculations reveal that monolayer In2O${\rm In}_2{\rm O}$ hosts type‐II Dirac fermions near the Fermi level, which split into Weyl points under spin‐orbit coupling. The material exhibits negative and giant magnetoresistance, a pronounced spin Hall effect, and phonon‐mediated superconductivity at 1.5 K, establishing it as a unique ...

Calculation method and analysis of horizontal frost heave effect of L-shaped retaining wall in permafrost regions

open access: yesRock and Soil Mechanics, 2022
In view of the imperfection of the calculation method of horizontal frost heaving force in the design of L-shaped retaining wall in permafrost area, based on the Lifkin foundation model and the cooperative deformation principle between retaining wall and

Response of an Infant With Presumed Multiple Acyl‐CoA Dehydrogenase Deficiency (MADD) to Ketone Supplementation

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Multiple Acyl‐CoA Dehydrogenase Deficiency (MADD) is an autosomal recessive inborn error of metabolism caused by biallelic pathogenic variants in one of three known genes: ETFA, ETFB, and ETFDH. It can cause multisystem dysfunction, including cardiomyopathy in severe cases.

Swelling Behaviour of Sulfate Soil Treated with Lime–Metakaolin at Different Curing Ages

open access: yesCeramics
Sulfate soil stabilisation, while offering technical benefits for infrastructure, is a challenging process, complicated by the nucleation of ettringite, an expansive mineral that can cause soil deterioration.

Emergent Spin Hall Quantization and High‐Order van Hove singularities in Square‐Octagonal MA2Z4

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
Square‐octagonal MA2Z4 (M = Mo/W, A = Si/Ge, Z = pnictogen) monolayers are predicted to realize quantum spin Hall insulators with nearly quantized spin Hall conductivity enabled by an emergent spin U(1) quasi‐symmetry. Materials with Z = As and Sb host quasi‐flat bands with high‐order van Hove singularities near the Fermi level, making them promising ...

Detailed Wake Structure behind an Elastic Airfoil

open access: yesJournal of Fluid Science and Technology, 2009
An unsteady flow in a low Reynolds number region attracts attention in recent years. The authors measured vortex flow in the wake of the rigid flat plate, rigid NACA0010, elastic flat plate and elastic NACA0010 with heaving motions and evaluated ...

Research in the Frost-heaving of Forest Road in Winter [PDF]

open access: yes, 1991
As a fundamental investigation for the maintenance of forest road surface in winter, we measured frost-heaving of forest road. We set 8 measure points and measured the frost-heaving height of each point at intervals of about 10 days from early in ...

Moiré Folded Helical States at the Interfaces of Heterostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
This manuscript explores a minimal ladder model of a graphene‐topological‐insulator heterostructure where moiré superlattices modulate Rashba spin‐orbit coupling. The study reveals that SOC lifs spin degeneracy, halves spectral periodicity, and induces “helicity fragmentation” across moiré minibands.

GAS PIPELINE DEFORMATION CAUSED BY FROSTY HEAVING OF SOIL

open access: yesИзвестия высших учебных заведений: Нефть и газ, 2014
The problem of the underground gas pipeline floating up at frozen ground thawing in the sites, where the body weight of the gas pipeline is less than the pushing out force of the aqueous medium surrounding the site is considered.

Recent Advances in Stimulated Brillouin Scattering in Integrated Photonics

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, EarlyView.
This review systematically surveys recent advances in stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) within integrated photonics. It begins by elucidating the fundamental mechanisms of stimulated coupling between photons and acoustic phonons in nanoscale waveguides, enhanced by the photoelastic and moving boundary effects.
