We systematically investigate the pion transverse momentum spectrum, elliptic flow, and Hanbury-Brown-Twiss (HBT) interferometry in the granular source model for the heavy ion collisions of Au-Au at sNN=200 GeV and Pb-Pb at sNN=2.76 TeV with different ...

Cross‐Scale Hierarchical Targeted Delivery System Based on Small‐Scale Magnetic Robots
This article reviews a cross‐scale hierarchical targeted delivery system that integrates magnetic continuum robots and magnetic microrobots. By combining rapid long‐range navigation with precise microscale targeting, the system overcomes key limitations of single‐scale approaches.

Open-charm production measurements with ALICE at the LHC
The LHC heavy-ion physics program aims at investigating the properties of strongly-interacting matter under extreme conditions of temperature and energy density where the formation of the Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP) is expected.

Supersonic heavy-ion collisions
Abstract An illustrative one-dimensional example of a supersonic heavy-ion reveals important features such as shock wave velocity, density increase, energy increase, heat energy produced and the Mach number at which dissociation of nucleons occurs.

This study reveals that Urolithin A (UA) counteracts alcohol‐induced cognitive and social dysfunction (AICSD) via a gut microbiome‐dependent mechanism. UA‐enriched Bacteroids sartorii and Parabacteroids distasonis elevate anandamide (AEA), which activates the CB1R‐DRD2‐Rap1 signaling cascade to drive synaptic repair and reduce neuroinflammation ...

Pseudorapidity correlations in heavy ion collisions from viscous fluid dynamics
We demonstrate by explicit calculations in 3+1 dimensional viscous relativistic fluid dynamics how two-particle pseudorapidity correlation functions in heavy ion collisions at the LHC and RHIC depend on the number of particle producing sources and the ...

The study shows that noncardiac surgical inflammation rapidly disrupts HDL function and cholesterol efflux in mice and human patients. Impaired reverse cholesterol transport after surgery drives rapid lipid accumulation, NETosis, and apoptosis within atherosclerotic plaques.

Genetic and pharmacological inhibition of SLC11A1 functioning as an H+/Fe2+ antiporter–mediated lysosomal iron accumulation in microglia promotes lysosomal lumen acidification, increases CTSD expression, enhances lysosomal myelin debris uptake and degradation, and promotes repair following white matter stroke. ABSTRACT White matter stroke (WMS) results
