Chemistry of heavy ion reactions [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
The use of heavy ions to induce nuclear reactions was reported as early as 1950. Since that time it has been one of the most active areas of nuclear research.

Intermediate energy heavy ion reactions

open access: yesAnnales de Physique, 2004
The intermediate energy heavy ion induced reactions are extensively studied for several years. In this paper, we try to summarize the present knowledge.

Dynamics of heavy-ion transfer reactions [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1983
Abstract An exact calculation has been made of the kinematics for the transfer of one or more nucleons from projectile to target at bombarding energies above the Coulomb barrier. The calculation presumes that the transfer occurs in an overlapping region of the projectile and target.

The sphericity of central heavy-ion reactions [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review C, 1995
We have experimentally studied small impact parameter heavy-ion collisions in the (nearly) symmetry entrance channels $^{12}\mathrm{C}$${+}^{12}$C, $^{20}\mathrm{Ne}$${+}^{27}$Al, $^{40}\mathrm{Ar}$${+}^{45}$Sc, $^{84}\mathrm{Kr}$${+}^{93}$Nb, and $^{129}\mathrm{Xe}$${+}^{139}$La, each at many intermediate beam energies.

Imaging of sources in heavy-ion reactions [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 1997
We discuss imaging sources from low relative-velocity correlations in heavy-ion reactions. When the correlation is dominated by interference, we can obtain the images by Fourier transforming the correlation function. In the general case, we may use the method of optimized discretization.

Heavy ion collision dynamics of 10,11B+10,11B reactions

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2015
The dynamical cluster-decay model (DCM) of Gupta and collaborators has been applied successfully to the decay of very-light (A ∼ 30), light (A ∼ 40−80), medium, heavy and super-heavy mass compound nuclei for their decay to light particles (evaporation ...

Probing nucleon-nucleon correlations via heavy ion transfer reactions

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2015
The revival of transfer reaction studies benefited from the construction of the new generation large solid angle spectrometers, coupled to large γ arrays.

Stochastic Variational Method for Viscous Hydrodynamics

open access: yesPhysics, 2022
In this short review, we focus on some of the subjects, related to J. Cleymans’ pioneering contribution of statistical approaches to the particle production process in heavy-ion collisions.
