INVESTIGATION OF HEAVY METAL ADSORPTION ON MICROPLASTICS
Microplastics and heavy metals represent two pollutant classes which have adverse impacts on aquatic ecosystems. This study has investigated the adsorption of two heavy metals [Lead (Pb)II and Aluminum (Al)III] on three different types of microplastics [polyethylene terephthalate (PET), polyamide (PA), ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA)].

Remote catalytic dehydrogenation enables the direct growth of monolayer amorphous carbon on a 2‐inch sapphire wafer by thermal CVD. Spatial separation of the catalyst from the growth substrate eliminates metallic residue and post‐growth processing, yielding a wafer‐scale uniform film with a random polygonal sp2‐hybridized carbon network that exhibits ...

Amphiphilic non‐isocyanate polyurethane (NIPU) coatings containing reactive hydrophobic poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) and hydrophilic methoxy poly(ethylene glycol) (MPEG) prepolymers for marine antifouling (AF) and fouling‐release (FR) applications were investigated. The coatings were evaluated with a set of representative marine foulants.

Removal of Heavy Metal Ions Using the Fungus
The potential use of the fungus Penicillium canescens for the removal of cadmium, lead, mercury and arsenic ions from aqueous solutions was evaluated in this study. Equilibrium biosorption of the heavy metal ions was attained in 4 h. The binding of heavy

Investigation of Adsorption of Cu (II) Heavy Metal with Bentonite
In this study, adsorption of undesirable copper (II) ion with bentonite in industrial wastewater was investigated at different temperature, pH and time intervals. Adsorption experiments were started with an adsorbent amount of 0.5 grams. Optimum pH determination experiments were carried out in the first stage of the adsorption experiments.
