The Interaction of Heavy Metal Ions with DNA
1995The effect of metal ions upon conformation of DNA was realized early, when it became apparent that metal ions are involved in the stabilization of the Watson-Crick double helix1,2. Metal ions react with a variety of electron-donor sites on polynucleotides3. There are two main sites of interaction, the phosphate moieties of the ribose-phosphate backbone

[Advances in heavy metal ions immunoassay].
Sheng wu gong cheng xue bao = Chinese journal of biotechnology, 2010Heavy metal leftover on farm and stock products has become a big threat to human. It is necessary to develop some fast and efficient detection methods. Heavy metal immunoassays are new methods for detection of heavy metal ions. Compared to the traditional chemical methods, immunoassays are not only fast, cheap, simple, but also reasonably portable ...

Adsorption of Heavy Metal Ions at Metal Oxide Interface
1998Adsorption of Pb+ iand Cd+ at goethite aqueous interface was measured. Electrokinetic properties were also investigated. Surface Complexation Model was used for interpretation. The equilibrium constants were determined.
