PBA based nanomaterials as a rising star for electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction

open access: yesDiscover Electrochemistry
Hydrogen, with its high energy density and extensive application potential, stands out as a promising energy carrier. Water electrolysis (HER) is one of the most cost-effective routes for hydrogen production, with significant potential for large-scale ...

Unraveling alkyl-substituted sulfur-containing compound reactivity in hydrodesulfurization via multidimensional mass spectrometry and computational modeling

open access: yesFuel Processing Technology
Understanding the structural determinants of sulfur compound reactivity during hydrodesulfurization (HDS) is critical for optimizing catalyst design and deep desulfurization processes. This study integrates ultra-high resolution mass spectrometry (UHRMS),

Jumps in Oil Prices - Evidence and Implications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This paper studies the dynamic behavior of daily oil prices and finds strong evidenceof GARCH as well as conditional jump behavior. This implies that conditional heteroscedasticity is present and the empirical distribution of oil price changes has heavy ...

NDST3‐Induced Epigenetic Reprogramming Reverses Neurodegeneration in Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
NDST3‐mediated epigenetic reprogramming revitalizes neuronal circuits in the substantia nigra and striatum to halt dopaminergic neuron degeneration and restore motor function in Parkinson's disease models. This strategy promotes neuronal maintenance and functional recovery, highlighting NDST3's therapeutic potential in neurodegenerative disorders ...

Ratoon Season Rice Reduces Methane Emissions by Limiting Acetic Acid Transport to the Rhizosphere and Inhibiting Methanogens

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study finds that the interaction between ABA‐OsCIPK2‐OsSWEET1A reduces the allocation of methane producing bacteria carbon source (acetic acid) content to the rhizosphere soil of ratoon season rice, thereby reducing methane emissions. Abstract Rice paddies are a major, persistent source of atmospheric methane (CH4), emission rates depend on the ...

Targeted Inhibition of CD74+ Macrophages by Luteolin via CEBPB/P65 Signaling Ameliorates Osteoarthritis Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies CD74⁺ macrophages as key drivers of synovial inflammation in osteoarthritis (OA). The flavonoid luteolin is predicted to inhibit this pathway by blocking Nuclear Factor Kappa‐light‐chain‐enhancer of Activated B cells (NF‐κB) signaling. To enhance delivery, a targeted nanoplatform (MDSPL) is developed.

Ecosystem‐Centered Robot Design: Toward Ecoresorbable Sustainability Robots (ESRs)

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Robots exploring natural ecosystems can support monitoring and conservation, but must adopt ecosystem‐centered design to avoid pollution, waste, and damage. This review proposes guidelines for co‐designing ecoresorbable sustainability robots (ESRs), uniting materials, robotics, and ecological contexts in a single framework.
