Recent pQCD calculations of heavy quark production [PDF]
We summarize the results of a recent study of heavy quark production and attenuation in cold nuclear matter. In p+p collisions, we investigate the relative contribution of partonic sub-processes to $D$ meson production and $D$ meson-triggered inclusive di-hadrons to lowest order in perturbative QCD.

Two-loop helicity amplitudes for diphoton production with massive quark loop
We compute two-loop helicity amplitudes in QCD for diphoton production through quark- and gluon-initiated channels, accounting for a massive internal quark loop by keeping its full mass dependence.

Physics perspectives of heavy-ion collisions at very high energy
Heavy-ion collisions at very high colliding energies are expected to produce a quark-gluon plasma (QGP) at the highest temperature obtainable in a laboratory setting.

Multiparticle production at mid-rapidity in the color-glass condensate
In this paper, we compute a number of cross sections for the production of multiple particles at mid-rapidity in the semi-dilute / dense regime of the color-glass condensate (CGC) effective field theory.

Heavy Quark Production in QCD [PDF]
In this paper I review the status of the theory of heavy quark production. The production of heavy quarks in hadron-hadron and photon-hadron collisions continues to be a topic of great theoretical interest. The reasons for this enthusiasm are the existence of experimental data on charm production and the recent publication of data on bottom quark ...

HEAVY QUARKS AND MESON PRODUCTION IN ULTRAPERIPHERAL HEAVY ION COLLISIONS
We report on our recent investigations into photonuclear production of heavy quarks and vector mesons in ultraperipheral heavy ion collisions. In particular, our theoretical predictions are compared with the recent experimental measurements on coherent ρ (STAR) and J/Ψ (PHENIX) photoproduction at RHIC, and estimates for LHC are given.

Heavy quark production and properties of Quark–Gluon Plasma
Abstract Heavy quarks (HQ) are believed to have unique roles for studying QCD at finite temperature and baryon density. By comparing precision measurements of HQ hadron production in heavy-ion collisions with realistic phenomenological model calculations, the goal is to understand interactions and dynamics of HQ propagating through the Quark–Gluon ...

Highlights from PHENIX at RHIC
Hadrons conveying strange quarks or heavy quarks are essential probes of the hot and dense medium created in relativistic heavy-ion collisions. With hidden strangeness, ϕ meson production and its transport in the nuclear medium have attracted high ...
