Building a Hebrew Semantic Role Labeling Lexical Resource from Parallel Movie Subtitles [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of The 12th Language Resources and Evaluation Conference (2020) 5936-5944, 2020

Light‐Triggered CRISPR/Cas12a for Genomic Editing and Tumor Regression

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, Accepted Article.
A photo‐triggered CRISPR/Cas12a machinery for in vitro and in vivo gene editing is introduced. The system consists of a caged, inactive ortho‐nitrobenzyl phosphate ester photo‐responsive crRNA, which, upon light‐induced deprotection, yields the active CRISPR/Cas12a gene editing machinery (LAC12aGE).

Ionic Liquid‐Functionalized Periodic Mesoporous Organosilica: A Robust Support for Palladium Nanoparticles in Carbonylative Suzuki Coupling Reactions

open access: yesChemistry – An Asian Journal, EarlyView.
An ionic liquid‐functionalized periodic mesoporous organosilica (PMO‐IL) is prepared via a sol‐gel method and serves as a support for palladium nanoparticles. The resulting Pd(np)@PMO‐IL catalyst exhibits high activity, selectivity, and recyclability in carbonylative Suzuki coupling reactions under mild conditions, providing an efficient and ...

Restoring Hebrew Diacritics Without a Dictionary [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
We demonstrate that it is feasible to diacritize Hebrew script without any human-curated resources other than plain diacritized text. We present NAKDIMON, a two-layer character level LSTM, that performs on par with much more complicated curation-dependent systems, across a diverse array of modern Hebrew sources.

A Novel Challenge Set for Hebrew Morphological Disambiguation and Diacritics Restoration [PDF]

open access: yesFindings of EMNLP, 2020, 2020
One of the primary tasks of morphological parsers is the disambiguation of homographs. Particularly difficult are cases of unbalanced ambiguity, where one of the possible analyses is far more frequent than the others. In such cases, there may not exist sufficient examples of the minority analyses in order to properly evaluate performance, nor to train ...
