Flow modelling and determination of sub-watersheds contribution in flood Hydrograph in Amoughin watershed, Ardabil province [PDF]

open access: yesمخاطرات محیط طبیعی, 2018
The focus of watershed management practices should be in the runoff control, flood prediction and determination of sub-watersheds contribution in producing flood with the aim of reduction its destructive losses.

Beaver dam failures: Reconciling science, perception and policy for sustainable river management in Quebec (Canada)

open access: yesEarth Surface Processes and Landforms, Volume 50, Issue 14, November 2025.
We revisit two Quebec Superior Court rulings where beaver dam failures were considered responsible for significant property damage. Using hydrological and hydraulic modelling, we show that the beaver dam failures during extreme rainfall events had minimal impact on peak discharge and water levels downstream.

STUDI PENERAPAN KONSEP EKO HIDRAULIK UNTUK MITIGASI BANJIR DI SUNGAI PULISAN

open access: yesEdusaintek, 2023
The analysis began by finding the frequency of rain using the Log Pearson III method. The rain data used came from two rain posts, namely the Araren-Pinenek MRG rain post and the Maen Climatology rain post.

A Fragility Framework for Surface Erosion With Application to Earthen Dam Breaching

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 61, Issue 11, November 2025.
Abstract Overtopping failures of earthen dams are a growing concern under intensifying extreme rainfall. This study introduces a probabilistic fragility framework that combines hydrologic modeling, hydraulic analysis, and soil erodibility to assess erosion risk under uncertain load and resistance.

Performance of conceptual and black-box models in flood warning systems

open access: yesCogent Engineering, 2016
Flood forecasting is a core of flood forecasting and flood warning system which can be implemented by both conceptual rainfall–runoff (CRR) model and black-box rainfall–runoff (BBRR) model.

Potential Improvements for HEC-HMS Automated Parameter Estimation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Abstract : Model independent enhancements and adaptations to the Gauss-Marquardt-Levenberg (GML) method of computer-based parameter estimation are described and demonstrated as potential improvements to existing HEC-HMS automatic calibration capabilities. In contrast to existing HEC-HMS automated parameter estimation capabilities, these methods support

Nano Zinc and Silicon Enhance Salinity Resilience in Sugar Beet (Beta vulgaris) Through Improved Sodium and Chloride Compartmentalization and Osmotic Regulation

open access: yesJournal of Agronomy and Crop Science, Volume 211, Issue 6, November 2025.
ABSTRACT Soil salinity is a major abiotic stress that disrupts water uptake, ion homeostasis, carbohydrate metabolism, and organic acid accumulation of sugar beet (Beta vulgaris L.). Nano‐fertilisers, due to enhanced mobility and reactivity, help plants in nutrient regulation, thus offering a promising strategy to mitigate such stresses.
