Inundation Mapping and Flood Frequency Analysis using HEC-RAS Hydraulic Model and EasyFit Software

open access: yesJournal of Water Management Modeling
Conducting a flood frequency analysis and mapping of the inundated area in rivers are important for river flow modeling. The main purpose of this research is to estimate the peak flow, model the inundated area using HEC-RAS, and conduct an analytical ...

Evaluation of Different Software Packages in Flow Modeling under Bridge Structures [PDF]

open access: yesآب و فاضلاب, 2007
This study is an independent and a comparative research concerning the accuracy, capability and suitability of three well-known packages ofISIS, MIKE11 and HEC-RAS as hydraulic river modeling software packages for modeling the flow through bridges.

Dam breach modeling using HEC-RAS and GIS

open access: yesObras y Proyectos, 2009
A flood caused by a dam breach may be much larger in magnitude and behave much differently than a natural flood. Mapping sucha flood wave requires an accounting of hypothetical conditions that could lead to a dam breach, as well as extreme flow dynamics downstream of the breach.

Use of the HEC RAS model for the analysis of exceptional floods in the Ouémé basin

open access: yesProceedings of IAHS
. The Ouémé River basin extends over almost half of Benin's territory, entirely located in a humid tropical climate. This river system includes a deltaic zone (delta of the Ouémé) known for its high agricultural potential and thus subject to a socio ...

Flood Mapping Using HEC-RAS and HEC-HMS: A Case Study of Upper Citarum River at Dayeuhkolot District, Bandung Regency, West Java

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Earth and Environment
Dayeuhkolot district is an area within Citarum River watershed that often experiences flood during the rainy season due to overflow discharge. This research identifies the flood area by using hydrodynamic modeling in Dayeuhkolot district.

Optimisation of hardware setups for time-efficient HEC-RAS simulations

open access: yesCambridge Prisms: Water
The necessity for high-resolution two-dimensional (2D) simulations in flood modelling often requires excessively long simulation times. This study evaluates the impact of various hardware configurations on Hydrologic Engineering Center-River Analysis ...

基于HEC-RAS和MIKE 11模型的岗头河水面线计算对比分析

open access: yesRenmin Zhujiang

Runoff Hydrograph Analysis of HEC-RAS 2D Flow Hydrodynamics Meteorological Rain-on-Grid on Observed Watershed: A Case Study of Wiroko Sub-Watershed

open access: yesInternational Journal on Advanced Science, Engineering and Information Technology
In contemporary hydrological analysis, numerical models have emerged as an alternative solution for water resources planning and management, particularly in forecasting extreme events and mitigating disaster risks.
