Sensitivity Analysis of Parameters in HEC-RAS Software
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014As for the level of tail-water often rose when the situation of tailrace river changing during the process of construction of hydroelectric power station, one-dimensional mathematical model is used through two procedures to solve this problem. In the first, the sensitivity of three key parameters including roughness, cross-section spacing Δs, starting ...

Advanced Guidance on Use of Steady HEC-RAS
World Environmental and Water Resources Congress 2008, 2008HEC-RAS is a one-dimensional steady or unsteady open channel flow model developed by the U.S. Army Corps Engineers' Hydrologic Engineering Center. It is probably the most widely used one-dimensional program in the world, and is used for a variety of applications, such as flood insurance and flood reduction studies, bridge hydraulics, stream restoration,

Dam and Levee Breaching with HEC-RAS
World Water & Environmental Resources Congress 2003, 2003With the release of HEC-RAS 3.1 (November, 2002), users can now perform dam and levee breaching analyses. This paper discusses the methodology used to perform the breaching, as well as the available options. The data required to perform such an analysis is reviewed, and available output from the model is displayed.

River Flow Simulation Based on the HEC-RAS System
2017This work considers the problem of river floods, and presents a computer solution that can be used to predict such a threat. The basic tool, called Hydrologic Engineering Centers for River Analysis System (HEC-RAS), and created by the US Army Corps of Engineering, is well developed; and the models created in the system HEC-RAS are quite realistic.
