Spatial Dependency and Hedonic Housing Regression Model
2016 15th IEEE International Conference on Machine Learning and Applications (ICMLA), 2016The location of a real estate property has a considerable impact on its appraised value. Accounting for geograph-ical information eliminates some reducible errors in the accuracy of a hedonic housing regression model. An im-proved performance will benefit home buyers, sellers, government and real estate professionals.

A hedonic price model for islands
Journal of Urban Economics, 2003Abstract This paper addresses the following question: Why do island prices vary across locations? The effect of hedonic modeling and index weights on hedonic imputation indexes
2010Housing price indexes are generally computed using variants of hedonic housing price models. The commonly used methods are the time-dummy method, the hedonic imputation method and the rolling window hedonic models. In addition, hedonic models that explicitly account for spatial correlation in prices reecting the price determining role of locational ...

The Characteristics Model, Hedonic Prices, and the Clientele Effect
Journal of Political Economy, 1988In this paper, the characteristics model of Lancaster is reconsidered. It is shown by example that equilibrium prices need not be linearly decomposable. It does follow that equilibrium prices must be a convex function of characteristics, however. Further, it is shown that this fact holds independent of the form of firm competition (e.g., perfect or ...
