Estimation of a Hedonic Pricing Model for Medigap Insurance [PDF]
Objective. This paper uses a unique database to examine premiums paid by beneficiaries for Medigap supplemental coverage. Average premiums charged by insurers are reported, as well as premiums by enrollee age and gender, and additional policy characteristics. Marginal prices for Medigap benefits are estimated using hedonic price regressions.

Hedonic Predicted House Price Indices Using Time-Varying Hedonic Models with Spatial Autocorrelation [PDF]
Hedonic housing price indices are computed from estimated hedonic pricing models. The commonly used time dummy hedonic model and the rolling window hedonic model fail to account for changing consumer preferences over hedonic characteristics and typically

Hedonic price models and indices based on boosting applied to the Dutch housing market [PDF]
We create a hedonic price model for house prices for six geographical submarkets in the Netherlands. Our model is based on a recent data mining technique called boosting.

ABSTRACT Growing environmental awareness has intensified demand for sustainability and transparency, especially in cruise tourism, a high‐impact and highly scrutinised service context. This study examines how green consumption values (GCV) shape passengers' perceptions of the credibility of green marketing claims (believability) and, in turn, influence

Demand Estimation with Heterogeneous Consumers and Unobserved Product Characteristics: A Hedonic Approach [PDF]
We study the identification and estimation of Gorman-Lancaster style hedonic models of demand for differentiated products for the case when one product characteristic is not observed.

Total Least Squares Estimation in Hedonic House Price Models
In real estate valuation using the Hedonic Price Model (HPM) estimated via Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) regression, subjectivity and measurement errors in the independent variables violate the Gauss–Markov theorem assumption of a non-random coefficient ...

Municipal assessments versus actual sales prices in hedonic price studies
In most hedonic price model studies, the actual sales price of a property is employed as the dependent variable in the parametric regression analysis. Although the use of this price is pervasive, alternatives to it do exist.

Hedonic Imputation versus Time Dummy Hedonic Indexes [PDF]
Statistical offices try to match item models when measuring inflation between two periods. However, for product areas with a high turnover of differentiated models, the use of hedonic indexes is more appropriate since they include the prices and ...
