Adsorption of Me(II), HEDP, and Me(II)−HEDP onto Boehmite at Nonstoichiometric Me(II)−HEDP Concentrations

Environmental Science & Technology, 2006
In aqueous environments, certain heavy metals are toxic even at very low concentrations. The main pathway of metal removal in the aquatic systems is via adsorption onto surfaces. These are desired processes that help decrease the dissolved fraction of metals in natural water.

Spectroscopic modeling for HEDP experiments

2011 Abstracts IEEE International Conference on Plasma Science, 2011
New cutting-edge experiments and advanced spectroscopic diagnostics of HEDP plasmas require state-of-the-art modeling capabilities. One of traditional methods to study the experimental observables is post-processing of hydrodynamics simulations. SPECT3D is an application that uses hydro data and generates synthetic observables such as space-resolved ...

Rhenium-188-HEDP in the Palliative Treatment of Bone Metastases

Cancer Biotherapy and Radiopharmaceuticals, 2000
Rhenium-188-HEDP (188Re-HEDP) is a new and attractive radiopharmaceutical for the treatment of bone pain due to metastases. As a product of a 188W/188Re generator it is convenient for clinical use. With a short physical half life of 16.9 hours and a maximal beta-energy of 2.1 MeV, it is suitable for therapy. We investigated the influence of 188Re-HEDP ...

186Re-HEDP: A Potential Therapeutic Bone Agent

Nuklearmedizin, 1984
SummaryA lyophilized kit preparation of HEDP for labelling with 186Re has been developed as a potential bone agent useful for both diagnosis and therapy. High pressure liquid chromatographic analysis showed that the 186Re-HEDP is a mixture of several components.

Distribution and elimination of HEDP in aquatic test systems

Water Research, 1993
Abstract Basic reactions, including adsorption/desorption and photodegradation, which influence the behaviour and fate of chelating agents in sewage treatment processes and in aquatic ecosystems, were evaluated for HEDP (1-hydroxyethane-1,1-diphosphonic acid).

A comparative study of 188Re-HEDP, 186Re-HEDP, 153Sm-EDTMP and 89Sr in the treatment of painful skeletal metastases

Nuclear Medicine Communications, 2007
The surface bone-seeking radiopharmaceuticals 188Re-HEDP, 186Re-HEDP and 153Sm-EDTMP, and the volume seeker 89Sr were investigated to determine the efficacy and toxicity in pain palliation of bone metastases. The effect of treatment with 188Re-HEDP, 186Re-HEDP, 153Sm-EDTMP and 89Sr on pain symptoms, quality of life, and bone marrow function were studied.

Factors Influencing the Decomposition of HEDP by Chlorine

CORROSION 1986, 1986
Abstract A number of soluble species typically found in cooling water systems have been found to influence the decomposition of HEDP by low levels of chlorine. The effect of these species is discussed, some mechanistic inferences are drawn and a method for mitigating this decomposition is described.
