It is shown that laser ablation pretreatment under oxygen‐free conditions enables copper–aluminium bonding at significantly lower deformation degrees and improved properties compared to mechanical brushing. Laser ablation further increases interface contact area and induces favourable residual stress states and microstructural compatibility ...

Algorithms for determining relative star height and star height
Let R be a regular language and \({\mathcal C}=(R_ 1,R_ 2,...,R_ m)\) be a finite set of regular languages. The relative star height of R with respect to \({\mathcal C}\) is the minimum star height of regular languages which can be transformed into R by substituting alphabetic symbols on languages from \({\mathcal C}\).

High‐frequency (HF) welding of steel is limited by oxide inclusions that degrade weld quality. This study demonstrates, for the first time, the integration of a nonthermal Ar/H2 dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma jet into HF welding. Local plasma treatment provides effective shielding and in‐situ oxide reduction, resulting in markedly fewer and ...

GOCE data evidence underplating beneath the Paraná basin
The Paraná basin in the stable South American Platform accumulated a thick sediment layer during the Paleozoic, with more than 3500 m thickness. In Early Cretaceous the same area experienced a flood basalt volcanism which produced a LIP-(Large Igneous ...

Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...

Site demands, quantitative and qualitative characteristics of wild pistachio in Khakhal forests [PDF]
Wild pistachio (Pistacia atlantica F&M.) trees grow in many arid and semi- arid areas of Iran including Khalkhal rigion in Ardabil province. In order to recognize the site demands of this species in Khalkhal forests, six sites (Bane Khalkhal, Kandarag ...

Effect of Laser Deoxidation on Adhesive‐Bonded Aluminum in an Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere
This study investigates laser ablation of aluminum under oxygen‐free conditions. The goal is to produce oxide‐free substrates that enable improved adhesive bonding with epoxy. Optimized laser parameters (90% overlap, 300 µJ) combined with oxide‐free substrates result in the highest tensile strength of the adhesive bond.
