Complexity and heights of tori [PDF]
We prove detailed asymptotics for the number of spanning trees, called complexity, for a general class of discrete tori as the parameters tend to infinity. The proof uses in particular certain ideas and techniques from an earlier paper.

Heights, Regulators and Schinzel's determinant inequality
We prove inequalities that compare the size of an S-regulator with a product of heights of multiplicatively independent S-units. Our upper bound for the S-regulator follows from a general upper bound for the determinant of a real matrix proved by ...

Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.

A 30 m Global Flood Inundation Model for Any Climate Scenario
Global flood mapping has developed rapidly over the past decade, but previous approaches have limited scope, function, and accuracy. These limitations restrict the applicability and fundamental science questions that can be answered with existing model ...

Dizzy heights and occupiers' liability [PDF]
Reviews case law on the occupier's duty of care to trespassers under the Occupiers' Liability Act 1984 s.1, including the issues that apply where the trespasser engaged in risky behaviour, was a child, and where the property was inherently ...

Powder Optimization Strategies for Binder Jetting Printing of BaTiO3 and Ba0,6Sr0,4TiO3 Ceramics
Powder optimization is investigated to enable binder jetting of BaTiO3 and Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3 ferroelectric ceramics. The antagonistic relationship between flowability and binder compatibility is addressed through binder impregnation of granulated powders and fumed silica addition to fine powders.

Advanced FDSOI Device Design: The U-Channel Device for 7 nm Node and Beyond
In this paper, we propose the extendibility of ultra-thin body and box (UTBB) devices to 7 and 5 nm technology nodes focusing on electrostatics. A difficulty in scaling traditional UTBB is the need for SOI scaling to about one fourth of the gate length ...

Computing heights on weighted projective spaces
In this note we extend the concept height on projective spaces to that of weighted height on weighted projective spaces and show how such a height can be computed.

This paper presents a novel approach to reducing oxide layers on metal powders using low‐temperature hydrogen dielectric barrier discharge plasmas at atmospheric pressure. Unlike conventional hydrogen‐plasma reductions, the powders do not contact the plasma directly.
