On Concrete Spectral Properties of a Twisted Laplacian Associated with a Central Extension of the Real Heisenberg Group

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2017
We consider the special magnetic Laplacian given by Δν,μ=4∑j=1n∂2/∂zj∂zj¯+2iνE+E¯+n+2μE-E¯-ν2+μ2z2. We show that Δν,μ is connected to the sub-Laplacian of a group of Heisenberg type given by C ×ω Cn realized as a central extension of the real Heisenberg ...

ICT knowledge absorptive capacity: A critical factor for technology integration in schools

open access: yesBritish Journal of Educational Technology, EarlyView.
Abstract This study examines whether and how a school's information and communication technology (ICT) knowledge absorptive capacity (ACAP) affects technology integration in schools. In addition, it investigates the influence of various contextual factors on the degree of contingency of ACAP, such as activation triggers, social integration mechanisms ...

Mikhlin-Type Hp Multiplier Theorem on the Heisenberg Group

open access: yesAxioms
The classical Fourier multiplier theorem by Mikhlin in Hardy spaces is extended to the Heisenberg group. The proof relies on the theories of atom and molecule functions and the property of special Hermite functions.

Expect the Best, Prepare for the Worst? EU Council Anticipation of rule of law Challenges During the Hungarian Presidency

open access: yesJCMS: Journal of Common Market Studies, EarlyView.
Abstract Research has solidly established that the presidency of the Council of the European Union can significantly influence the Council's activity. However, it has not yet explained whether, why and how Council actors anticipate the different national executives scheduled to lead them.

The Measure Algebra of the Heisenberg Group

open access: yesJournal of Functional Analysis, 1999
The article is about irreducible representations of the convolution algebra \(M(\mathbb{H}_n)\) of bounded regular Borel measures on the unimodular Heisenberg group \(\mathbb{H}_n= \mathbb{C}^n\times \mathbb{R}\) for which the group structure is given by \[ (a,t)(b,s)= \left(a+b, s+t+\text{Im}{b-a\over 2} \right). \] A representation of \(\mathbb{H}_n\)

Heisenberg Group-Based Digital Signatures for Secure Communications

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper proposes a new digital signature algorithm that employs the Heisenberg group over a prime field and exploits its structure to provide strong cryptographic properties. The developed scheme involves the Heisenberg group within a commutator-based

Modeling of magnetic properties of A2BB′O6 compounds using ab initio and Monte Carlo methods

open access: yesJournal of the American Ceramic Society, Volume 108, Issue 12, December 2025.
Ab initio and Monte Carlo simulations were employed to maximize the estimated Curie temperature of A2BB′O6 oxides. It was revealed that the element A ion radius should be as small as possible, while the magnetic moments of B and B′ elements should be as large as possible.

Integral quantization based on the Heisenberg–Weyl group

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields
We develop a relativistic framework of integral quantization applied to the motion of spinless particles in the four-dimensional Minkowski spacetime. The proposed scheme is based on coherent states generated by the action of the Heisenberg–Weyl group and

Is every product system concrete?

open access: yesTransactions of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 12, Issue 1, December 2025.
Abstract Is every product system of Hilbert spaces over a semigroup P$P$ concrete, that is, isomorphic to the product system of an E0$E_0$‐semigroup over P$P$? The answer is no if P$P$ is discrete, cancellative and does not embed in a group. However, we show that the answer is yes for a reasonable class of semigroups.
