Curvature‐dimension condition of sub‐Riemannian α$\alpha$‐Grushin half‐spaces

open access: yesTransactions of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 12, Issue 1, December 2025.
Abstract We provide new examples of sub‐Riemannian manifolds with boundary equipped with a smooth measure that satisfy the RCD(K,N)$\mathsf {RCD}(K, N)$ condition. They are constructed by equipping the half‐plane, the hemisphere and the hyperbolic half‐plane with a two‐dimensional almost‐Riemannian structure and a measure that vanishes on their ...

The Odd Couple: Oxidative Coupling of an Iridium(III) Phenylimido Complex

open access: yesZeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie, Volume 651, Issue 15, October 21, 2025.
The odd couple: In situ generation of a nitrenoid iridium(III) imido complex is reported, which is inherently unstable towards oxidative para‐C–C coupling. Catalytic arylnitrene transfer often results in catalyst decay via aromatic coupling reactions.

High‐Entropy Magnetism of Murunskite

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 40, October 1, 2025.
The study of murunskite (K2FeCu3S4) reveals that its magnetic and orbital order emerges in a simple I4/mmm crystal structure with complete disorder in the transition metal positions. Mixed‐valence Fe ions randomly occupy 1/4 of the tetrahedral sites, with the remaining 3/4 being filled by non‐magnetic Cu+ ions.

Deformations of the discrete Heisenberg group

open access: yesProceedings of the Japan Academy, Series A, Mathematical Sciences, 2013
We study deformations of the discrete Heisenberg group acting properly discontinuously on the Heisenberg group from the left and right and obtain a complete description of the deformation space.

Chiroptical Amplification Beyond Enantiopurity in Chiral Films

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, Volume 13, Issue 29, October 13, 2025.
Nonlinear g‐ee dependence in chiral perovskite thin films is demonstrated, revealing amplified chiroptical responses and offering a sensitive probe into chiral applications. This behavior, rarely investigated as it is, is crucial for sensitive enantiomeric sensing and provides insights into chirality mechanisms, as well as structural ordering, offering
