TAXON, 1980SummaryPolyploidy is reported for the first time for Montanoa Cerv., in which x = 19; we here report speciesat the 6x, 8x, and 12x levels. The 12x count (n = 110‐120) was originally reported, owing to a printing error, as Melanthera aspera (Jacq.) Rendl., and is significant as it is the highest reported number in Compositae.

A Revision of Moonia (Compositae, Heliantheae, Coreopsidinae)
Brittonia, 1975The genusMoonia of India and Ceylon, traditionally placed in the subtribe Melampodiinae, is shown to have closer affinities withDahlia andHidalgoa of the subtribe Coreopsidinae. Several morphologically heterogeneous taxa are excluded fromMoonia, and the remaining species,M. heterophylla, is described and illustrated.

Systematic Botany, 1988Revision of Viguiera sect. Maculatae (formerly series Maculatae) results in recognition of 14 taxa, including 13 species and one subspecies. Of these, V. guerrerana, V. mirandae, V. sharpii, V. splendens, and V. eriophora subsp. poblana are newly described.

Salmea, S. scandens is found from Mexico through Central America to Argentina and Brazil and on the islands of the Caribbean. Blainvillea (Asteraceae-Heliantheae) is absent from China
Phytotaxa, 2017Blainvillea Cassini (1823: 493) (Asteraceae-Heliantheae), as recently circumscribed by Orchard (2012, 2015), is a pantropical genus comprising four species. Blainvillea calcicola Orchard (2012: 658) and B. cunninghamii (Candolle 1836: 540) Orchard (2012: 660) are endemic to Australia.

Cladistics of the Subtribe Ambrosiinae (Asteraceae: Heliantheae)
Systematic Botany, 1995The interrelationships within the Heliantheae-Ambrosiinae are investigated using cladistic analysis of morphological and cytological data. Twenty-eight species sampled from all genera of the Ambrosiinae are used as terminal taxa. The result reveals that Iva s.l. is polyphyletic. In order to make the different parts of Iva s.l.
