The HaMYB22–HaGST3.2 module mediates salt stress response in sunflower
The transcription factors HaMYB22, HaMYB120, and HaMYB121 cooperatively activate the transcription of the glutathione S‐transferase gene HaGST3.2, thereby facilitating the removal of reactive oxygen species induced by salt stress in sunflowers and improving their salt tolerance.

The influence of climatic factors on sunflower ontogenesis in conditions of the Orenburg region
The effect of the variability of certain climatic parameters during the growing season on the cultivation of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) in the Orenburg region was studied. It was shown that the growth and development of Helianthus annuus L.

Recombination suppression in plant adaptation and speciation
Summary Recombination suppression is increasingly recognized as an important facilitator of genomic divergence and speciation, especially under ongoing gene flow. In plants, however, the broader evolutionary consequences and the mechanisms by which recombination suppression arises and spreads are still incompletely understood, reflecting the inherent ...

Combining ability studies in restorer lines of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) [PDF]
The restorer lines are used to get fertile hybrids in hybrid seed production system of sunflower. Improve-ment of R-lines for fertility and oil content of sunflower is required to get desirable hybrids upon crossing.

Quantitative inheritance in sunflower (helianthus annuus l.)
SUMMARY This study was conducted in order to estimate the gene effects which determine the inheritance of certain characters and to search the genetic structure of each group in a 9 x 9 diallel cross group established by crossing inbred lines of sunflower.

ABSTRACT Tobamoviruses establish viral replication organelles (VROs) on the host endoplasmic reticulum (ER) for their replication, a process demanding substantial different types of lipids. However, how viruses efficiently transfer these lipids from other compartments like chloroplasts remains incompletely understood.

Studies on pollinator fauna and their relative abundance of sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) at Pantnagar, Uttarakhand, India [PDF]
Pollinators provide key services to both natural and agricultural ecosystems. Agricultural productivity depends, in part on pollinator populations from adjacent semi natural habitats. The diversity and abundance of different insect visitors on sunflower ...
