Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.)
2014Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) is still considered as a recalcitrant species to in vitro culture and transformation in spite of the publication of different protocols. Here we describe a routine transformation system of this crop which requires mature HA89 genotype seeds and Agrobacterium tumefaciens EHA105 strain for gene delivery, being both easily

Micropropagation of Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.)
1992The common sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) is a member of the Compositae (Asteraceae) family. Its name (from the Greek helios, sun, and anthos, flower) is derived from the heliotropic movement of the sunflower’s head (nutation). Grown for its seed, this species is one of the most important suppliers of vegetable oil, and is now fairly widely ...

Characterization of Helianthus annuus L. storage proteins
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 1989A rapid method is described for isolating the globulin fraction (helianthinin) of sunflower seeds (Helianthus annum L.). The protein was characterized by chromatography and electrophoresis and compared with the globulin extracted from protein bodies.

Sunflower(Helianthus annuus L.)
1996The sunflower (Helianthus annuus L) is a member of the family Compositae (Asteraceae). The genus Helianthus contains over 60 species, only a few of which are cultivated either as ornamentals or as commercial crops. The sunflower is an erect annual or perennial herb, with a rough hirsute stem 1–3 m high, crowned by a capitulum.

Co. 1. Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.)
Madras Agricultural Journal, 1983A dwarf version of sunflower (70 cm) maturing in 65 days has been developed from an accession "Cernianka-66" of Russian origin. In various on-farm trial in the cultivators' fields it recorded mean yields of 923 and 804 kg/ha under irrigated and rainfed conditions respectively.

Suncokret Helianthus annuus L.

Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.).
Methods in molecular biology (Clifton, N.J.), 2006Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) is considered one of the recalcitrant species in terms of transformation and regeneration. A routine transformation system of this crop requires competent cell cultures for efficient plant regeneration as well as an effective method for gene delivery. A transformation system was developed by an Agrobacterium tumefaciens-
