Quantifying foot deformation using finite helical angle [PDF]
Foot intrinsic motion originates from the combination of numerous joint motions giving this segment a high adaptive ability. Existing foot kinematic models are mostly focused on analyzing small scale foot bone to bone motions which require both complex experimental methodology and complex interpretative work to assess the global foot functionality ...

The ten helical twist angles of B-DNA
On the assumption that the twist angles between adjacent base-pairs in the DNA molecule are additive a linear system of 40 equations was derived from experimental measurements of the total twist angles for different pieces of DNA of known sequences.

The helix angle factor of helical gears.
This paper presents a study on the helix angle factor in considering the difference between root stresses of the helical gear and its virtual spur gear in the normal section. The calculation of bending strength of the helical gear is commonly based on the virtual spur gear.

Analysis of the Torsion Angles between Helical Axes in Pairs of Helices in Protein Molecules
In this study, an analysis of distribution of the torsion angles Ω between helical axes in pairs of connected helices found in known proteins has been performed. The database for helical pairs was compiled using the Protein Data Bank taking into account the definite rules suggested earlier.

Full Conjugate Contour Constructing of Helical Rotor with Higher and Its Flow Ripple Formula
To efficiently realize lightweight and low flow pulsation performance for helical rotor pump. Firstly, a new helical rotor with only three lobes and a full conjugate contour for higher shape factor is presented, then, from taking dimensionless ...
