Hepatocellular-Cholangiocarcinoma: Helical Computed Tomography Findings in 30 Patients

Journal of Computer Assisted Tomography, 2003
To report the helical multiphasic computed tomography (CT) findings in 30 patients with hepatocellular-cholangiocarcinoma.We evaluated age, gender, tumor risk factors, serum tumor markers, symptoms, and tumor morphology and enhancement on helical multiphasic CT in 30 patients.Twenty-six of 30 patients (86%) were men.

Incarcerated obturator hernia: early diagnostic using helical computed tomography

Hernia, 2007
Obturator hernia is a rare event with poor clinical signs. Delayed diagnosis is a cause of increased mortality due to ruptured gangrenous bowel. We report a case of incarcerated obturator hernia which highlights the usefulness of computed tomography (CT) scanning in diagnosing this condition.

Helical computed tomography for the evaluation of tracheal stenosis

The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, 1995
Helical computed tomography with multiplanar reconstruction (CT/MPR) was used to study proximal airway stenosis.Twenty-eight helical CT/MPR studies were obtained in 25 patients with known or suspected stenosis of the trachea or main bronchi. Computed tomographic results were compared with planar tomograms and bronchoscopic evaluation of the airway.CT ...

[Helical computed tomography in suspected pulmonary embolism].

La Revue du praticien, 2003
Spiral (or "helical") computed tomography (CT) was first proposed as a diagnostic tool in suspected pulmonary embolism in the early 1990s'. Because this technique is less invasive than pulmonary angiography and more specific than lung scintigraphy, it has encountered a great success before its real diagnostic value was properly evaluated.

Arachnoiditis ossificans. Diagnosis with helical computed tomography.

Clinical imaging, 1999
Arachnoiditis ossificans (AO) is a rare entity in which ossification of the leptomeninges occurs. This report illustrates a patient with AO of the cervical and dorsal spine, diagnosed by helical computed tomography with multiplanar reconstruction.
