Abstract Conformer Space

open access: yesHelvetica Chimica Acta, Volume 108, Issue 7, July 2025.
Proteins are intrinsically flexible and thus require an ensemble description. In abstract conformer space, ensemble diversity is easier to assess and the required ensemble size can be established. Abstract Pairwise distance root mean square deviation defines a hyperspace where conformers with similar shape reside close to each other.

Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces (RIS) and Their Role in Next‐Generation Wireless Networks: An Overview

open access: yesTransactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies, Volume 36, Issue 6, June 2025.
This paper explicitly reviews the state‐of‐the‐art RIS‐assisted wireless networks, especially open challenges relating to the B5G and 6G networks. This work presents an intensive study of recent research on RIS to provide an in‐depth understanding of the underlying principles surrounding RIS operations, composition, and effect on EM waves.

Structure of hyperbolic polynomial automorphisms of C2${\mathbb {C}^2}$ with disconnected Julia sets

open access: yesProceedings of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 130, Issue 6, June 2025.
Abstract For a hyperbolic polynomial automorphism of C2$\mathbb {C}^2$ with a disconnected Julia set, and under a mild dissipativity condition, we give a topological description of the components of the Julia set. Namely, there are finitely many “quasi‐solenoids” that govern the asymptotic behavior of the orbits of all nontrivial components.

Lagrangian approximation of totally real concordances

open access: yesProceedings of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 130, Issue 4, April 2025.
Abstract We show that a two‐dimensional totally real concordance can be approximated by a Lagrangian concordance whose Legendrian boundary has been stabilised both positively and negatively sufficiently many times. The main applications that we provide are constructions of knotted Lagrangian concordances in arbitrary four‐dimensional symplectisations ...

Twofold 6π‐Electrocyclization as a Route Toward Multi‐Heteroatom‐Doped Nanographenes Built on a 1,4‐Dihydropyrrolo[3,2‐b]pyrrole Core

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 31, Issue 9, February 12, 2025.
Strongly fluorescent N‐doped nanographenes were prepared via straightforward three‐steps route in overall yield reaching 25 %. This strategy is compatible with the presence of electron‐withdrawing groups and is amenable to computational prediction of the output of the reaction based on symmetry of orbitals.

Computer Folding of Parallel DNA G‐Quadruplex: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Conformational Space

open access: yesJournal of Computational Chemistry, Volume 46, Issue 1, January 5, 2025.
This study presents a novel computational protocol for folding guanine quadruplexes (GQs) from single‐strand conformation to their native state. Utilizing two enhanced sampling techniques, the protocol models multichannel folding pathways, elucidating diverse intermediates and mechanisms.

Numerical Optimization and Experimental Study on the Acoustic Broadband Characteristics of Perforated Plates Collaborating With Snowflake Film Metamaterials

open access: yesShock and Vibration, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Automobiles have become ubiquitous in daily life. With the continuous development of the automotive industry, people’s expectations for driving comfort are also increasing. Among various influencing factors, the noise generated by the engine during vehicle operation and the driving noise under different road conditions have a particularly critical ...

pH‐Responsive Virus‐Based Colloidal Crystals for Advanced Material Platforms

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 34, Issue 37, September 11, 2024.
This article highlights how bacteriophages drive biomaterials innovation with their precise nanoscale dimensions and specific shapes. It explores the pH‐responsive assembly of the ≈29 nm Qbeta bacteriophage with a synthetic polycation, forming biologically active suprastructures, including colloidal crystals.
