Hilltop Inflation and Generation of Helical Magnetic Field [PDF]
Primordial magnetic field generated in the inflationary era can act as a viable source for the present day intergalactic magnetic field of sufficient strength. We present a fundamental origin for such a primordial generation of the magnetic field, namely through anomaly cancellation of U(1) gauge field in quantum electrodynamics in the context of ...

ON THE HELICITY OF OPEN MAGNETIC FIELDS [PDF]
We reconsider the topological interpretation of magnetic helicity for magnetic fields in open domains, and relate this to the relative helicity. Specifically, our domains stretch between two parallel planes, and each of these ends may be magnetically open.

Evolution of field line helicity in magnetic relaxation [PDF]
Plasma relaxation in the presence of an initially braided magnetic field can lead to self-organization into relaxed states that retain non-trivial magnetic structure. These relaxed states may be in conflict with the linear force-free fields predicted by the classical Taylor theory, and remain to be fully understood.

Magnetic-Field Generation in Helical Turbulence [PDF]
We investigate analytically the amplification of a weak magnetic field in a homogeneous and isotropic turbulent flow lacking reflectional symmetry (helical turbulence). We propose that the spectral distributions of magnetic energy and magnetic helicity can be found as eigenmodes of a self-adjoint, Schrödinger-type system of evolution equations.

Helical magnetic self-organization of plasmas in toroidal pinches with transport barriers formation [PDF]
Nonlinear MHD modeling of toroidal pinch configurations for hot plasma magnetic confinement describes several features of the helical self-organization process, which is observed in both reversed-field pinches and tokamaks. It can also give a hint on why

Spin Edge Helices in a Perpendicular Magnetic Field [PDF]
We present an exact solution to the problem of the spin edge states in the presence of equal Bychkov-Rashba and Dresselhaus spin-orbit fields in a two-dimensional electron system, restricted by a hard-wall confining potential and exposed to a perpendicular magnetic field.

Observation of the Chiral Soliton Lattice above Room Temperature
Magnetic chiral soliton lattices (CSLs) emerge from the helical phase in chiral magnets when magnetic fields are applied perpendicular to the helical propagation vector, and they show great promise for next‐generation magnetic memory applications.
