Gene expression patterns of Helicoverpa armigera gut proteases

Insect Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, 2005
Relative quantification of reported gut proteinase cDNAs from Helicoverpa armigera larvae fed on various host plants (cotton, chickpea, pigeonpea, tomato and okra), non-host plant PIs (winged bean, bitter gourd, ground nut, and capsicum) and during larval development has been carried out using semi-quantitative RT-PCR.

Adaptive regulation of detoxification enzymes in Helicoverpa armigera to different host plants

Insect molecular biology (Print), 2019
Cotton plants produce gossypol as a major secondary metabolite to resist insect herbivores and pathogens. Helicoverpa armigera may employ multigene families of detoxification enzymes to deal with this metabolite.

Cytochrome P450-Mediated λ-Cyhalothrin-Resistance in a Field Strain of Helicoverpa armigera from Northeast China.

Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2019
Resistance to pyrethroid and organophosphate insecticides has been a growing problem in the management of cotton bollworm Helicoverpa armigera (Hübner) populations in the Yangtze River and Yellow River valleys of China, but resistance status and ...

Resistance and Synergism of Novel Insecticides in Field Populations of Cotton Bollworm Helicoverpa armigera (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) in Pakistan.

Journal of Economic Entomology, 2019
The cotton bollworm Helicoverpa armigera (Hübner) is still a serious pest of non-Bt crops in Asia and Africa. It has been a notorious pest in developing resistance to all the insecticide classes applied for its control. Response of field populations of H.

Molecular characterization of chitinase from polyphagous pest Helicoverpa armigera

Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 2003
Chitinase from a polyphagous pest, Helicoverpa armigera, has been cloned and expressed. The Helicoverpa chitinase cDNA is 2870 bp in length and contains an open reading frame of 1767 bp. The cDNA encodes a polypeptide of 588 residues with a predicted molecular weight of 66 kDa and a pI of 5.99.
