Based on comparative morphological examinations of specimens available in both physical and digitized herbaria, a new combination is proposed in Myriopus (Heliotropiaceae): Myriopus subulatus (Gardner) J.I.M.Melo. Additionally, Tournefortia lanceolata Fresen. is synonymized under M. subulatus, with its effective lectotypification.
