Electrical Conductivities of Conductors, Semiconductors, and Their Mixtures at Elevated Temperatures
This article presents a comprehensive review of temperature‐dependent electrical conductivity data for multiple material classes at elevated temperatures, highlighting a persistent conductivity gap between metals and semiconductors in the range of 102$\left(10\right)^{2}$– 107$\left(10\right)^{7}$ S/m. Metal–ceramic irregular metamaterials are proposed

Nanostructure composite film for sensor controls of humidity
Received nanostructure of the composite film allows creating integrated sensor controls of humidity with high sensitivity, stable in time, with linear dependence of capacity from relative humidity practically in all range of its change (3 to 100%) and ...

Carbon‐free inert anodes are essential for decarbonizing aluminum electrolysis. This study investigates a recyclate‐based MgO‐316L steel composite anode tested under galvanostatic Hall–Héroult conditions in cryolite at 1000°C. Microstructural analysis reveals selective MgO fluorination, spinel and oxide layer formation, electrolyte infiltration, and ...

Helium enrichment theory and exploration ideas for helium-rich gas reservoirs
Using gas and rock samples from major petroliferous basins in the world, the helium content, composition, isotopic compositions and the U and Th contents in rocks are analyzed to clarify the helium enrichment mechanism and distribution pattern and the ...

Long period variables and mass loss in the globular clusters NGC 362 and NGC 2808 [PDF]
The pulsation periods of long period variables (LPVs) depend on their mass and helium abundance as well as on their luminosity and metal abundance. Comparison of the observed periods of LPVs in globular clusters with models is capable of revealing the ...

High-efficiency cathode elements for gas-discharge light sources
The use of cathode elements of an arc discharge activator made from a newly developed material — an alloy of iridium with rare-earth metals of the cerium group — has been proposed. Working samples of arc lamps have been manufactured and tested.
