Electrons in image-potential states on the surface of bulk helium represent a unique model system of a two-dimensional electron gas. Here, we investigate their properties in the extreme case of reduced film thickness: a monolayer of helium physisorbed on

This study demonstrates that prolonged rhythmic 40 Hz light flicker enhances spatial learning by stimulating PV interneuron‐dependent neurogenesis. The light flicker selectively activates PV interneurons, which enhances GABAergic support for the integration of immature neurons in the adult dentate gyrus.

Helium enrichment theory and exploration ideas for helium-rich gas reservoirs
Using gas and rock samples from major petroliferous basins in the world, the helium content, composition, isotopic compositions and the U and Th contents in rocks are analyzed to clarify the helium enrichment mechanism and distribution pattern and the ...

Helium production in natural gas reservoirs
About 11,000 published natural gas analyses of helium are used in the estimation of the average global scale accumulation and concentration of radiogenic helium in sediments. Simple lognormal statistics is employed to derive a net accumulation rate between 1 × 105 to 6.7 × 105 helium atoms per cubic meter of reservoir rock per second. This accumulation
