Helium additions to MIG shielding gas - an economic option? [PDF]
An investigation has been carried out to establish the technical and economic benefits of adding two levels of helium to a normal shielding gas. Technically no adverse issues were established using the two levels of helium, and the most significant ...

Controlled syntheses of lanthanide coordination polymers based on the dihydroxybenzoquinone (DHBQ) organic linker afforded large single crystals of Ln‐DHBQ CPs (Ln = Yb, Nd). A novel structural variant of Yb‐DHBQ is identified by means of single crystal diffraction analysis.

Defect Analysis of the β– to γ–Ga2O3 Phase Transition
The role of defects at all the relevant stages of the β$\beta$‐ to γ$\gamma$‐Ga2O3 polymorph transition is investigated using a multi method approach. The positron annihilation spectroscopy based results show that the defect density decreases after the transition, and that changes in defect configuration within the γ phase occur with increasing ...

An evaluation of weld metal nitrogen retention and properties in 316NL austenitic stainless steel [PDF]
A series of tests were conducted using varying levels of nitrogen and helium in a conventional argon shielding gas when welding 316LN austenitic stainless steel. The outcome was that a 15 per cent nitrogen addition to the argon shielding gas had the most

In the United States of America the natural gas which contains about 0.4% up helium content is used as main material for producing the helium gas. The equipment recently developed in France separates and rectifies 0.05% of helium gas to produce high purity of helium gas.

Modulating Electrochemical CO2 Reduction Pathways via Interfacial Electric Field
Engineering interfacial electric fields in Cu/ITO electrodes enables precise control of CO2 reduction pathways. Charge transfer from Cu to ITO generates positively charged Cu species that steer selectivity from ethylene toward methane. This work demonstrates how interfacial electric‐field modulation can direct reaction intermediates and transform ...

A certain amount of helium is found in the natural gas of both the Dongsheng and Daniudi gas fields in the Hangjinqi area of the Ordos Basin. However, the average helium content in the Daniudi Gas Field is only about one-fourth of that in the Dongsheng ...

Delayed annihilation of antiprotons in helium gas [PDF]
The delayed annihilation of antiprotons, which was recently discovered in liquid $^{4}\mathrm{He}$ at KEK, has been studied at CERN in gas-phase $^{4}\mathrm{He}$ and $^{3}\mathrm{He}$. The annihilation time spectra in gaseous $^{4}\mathrm{He}$ at various pressures were found to be similar to that for liquid $^{4}\mathrm{He}$.
