Multiple Copies of a Simple MYB-Binding Site Confers Trans-regulation by Specific Flavonoid-Related R2R3 MYBs in Diverse Species

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2017
In apple, the MYB transcription factor MYB10 controls the accumulation of anthocyanins. MYB10 is able to auto-activate its expression by binding its own promoter at a specific motif, the R1 motif.

The SVP–FRO6 Module Integrates the Control of Leaf Senescence and Flowering in Arabidopsis

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Plants coordinate major developmental transitions by integrating intrinsic genetic programs with environmental signals, where nutrient availability serves as a critical external factor shaping growth and fitness. Iron (Fe), an essential micronutrient for cellular respiration and photosynthesis, is strictly regulated through sophisticated ...

Performative Anchoring Practices and the Making of Belonging in Diaspora

open access: yesStudies in Ethnicity and Nationalism, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This article examines how Greekness is constructed and negotiated by a member of the Greek second generation in Italy, a population largely absent from contemporary diaspora scholarship. Through a biographical and socio‐anthropological approach grounded in long‐term ethnographic fieldwork, the study shows how belonging emerges not as inherited

The Association between Broiler Litter Microbiota and the Supplementation of Bacillus Probiotics in a Leaky Gut Model

open access: yesAnimals
Probiotics provided from hatch have a major influence on microbiota development, and together with environmental and bedding microbiota, shape the microbial community of the litter.

Mapping a candidate gene (MdMYB10) for red flesh and foliage colour in apple

open access: yesBMC Genomics, 2007
Background Integrating plant genomics and classical breeding is a challenge for both plant breeders and molecular biologists. Marker-assisted selection (MAS) is a tool that can be used to accelerate the development of novel apple varieties such as ...

The Coptic Church in the Aftermath of the Second Vatican Council: Theological or Tactical Anti‐Judaism?

open access: yesModern Theology, Volume 42, Issue 3, Page 667-685, July 2026.
Abstract Vatican II's declaration on the Jews, absolving them from collective guilt of deicide, marked a significant turning point in Catholic theology. Arab governments tended to perceive this development as evidence that Catholics (or Christians generally) were taking the side of Zionist Jews in the Arab‐Israeli conflict.

AcFT promotes kiwifruit in vitro flowering when overexpressed and Arabidopsis flowering when expressed in the vasculature under its own promoter

open access: yesPlant Direct, 2018
Kiwifruit (Actinidia chinensis) has three FLOWERING LOCUS T (FT) genes, AcFT, AcFT1, and AcFT2, with differential expression and potentially divergent roles. AcFT was previously shown to be expressed in source leaves and induced in dormant buds by winter

Roles of long non‐coding RNAs in gestational diabetes mellitus: Mechanisms and biomarker potential

open access: yesClinical and Translational Discovery, Volume 6, Issue 3, June 2026.
Upregulated lncRNAs in GDM Some key lncRNAs (MALAT1, MEG8, SOX2OT and …) show higher expression in GDM. Downregulated lncRNAs in GDM Some key lncRNAs (HCG27, GASS, Pax AS1 and …) show lower expression in GDM. Mechanistic roles lncRNAs regulate trophoblast proliferation, insulin signalling, neonatal and offspring health and other complications related ...
