Some mathematical assumptions for accurate transformation parameters between WGS84 and Nord Sahara geodetic systems

open access: yesJournal of Geodetic Science, 2023
The transformation of coordinates between different geodetic datums has been a common practice within the geospatial profession. Relating different geodetic datums mostly involves the use of conformal transformation techniques, which could produce ...

Standard deviations of coordinates due transformation between ellipsoids [PDF]

open access: yesPodzemni Radovi, 2017
Transformation between ellipsoids also called datum transformation implies coordinate conversion from one ellipsoid to another ellipsoid, most frequently to be done by Helmert seven-parameter transformation.

AUTOMATED ALIGNMENT OF LOCAL POINT CLOUDS IN DIGITAL BUILDING MODELS [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2019
For the correct usage and analysis within a BIM environment, image-based point clouds that were created with Structure from Motion (SfM) tools have to be transformed into the building coordinate system via a seven parameter Helmert Transformation ...

INTEGRATION OF PHOTOGRAMMETRY, COMPUTED TOMOGRAPHY AND ENDOSCOPY FOR GYROSCOPE 3D DIGITIZATION [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2021
Cultural heritage preservation via 3D digitization is becoming more and more important. Besides conventional buildings and landmarks, many technical instruments and artifacts, which belong to tech heritage (TH), are also of great importance, historically

IMAGE QUALITY IMPROVEMENTS IN LOW-COST UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAMMETRY [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2019
This study presents an evaluation of a cheap consumer-grade camera used for modelling a coral reef section. We evaluate the quality of a reconstructed coral reef using GoPro cameras and a high-end camera with data from an actual coral reef dataset.

Stable Regional Reference Frame for Reclaimed Land Subsidence Study in East China

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2022
This study implemented a stable Regional Reference Frame in Shanghai, East China (called SHRRF), using seven years of continuous GNSS observations from the Shanghai Continuously Operating Reference System stations (SHCORS) to examine reclaimed coast–land

APPLYING 3D AFFINE TRANSFORMATION AND LEAST SQUARES MATCHING FOR AIRBORNE LASER SCANNING STRIPS ADJUSTMENT WITHOUT GNSS/IMU TRAJECTORY DATA [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences, 2012
In this article we extend our previous work on the topic of ALS strip adjustment without GNSS/IMU trajectory data. Between overlap- ping strip pairs the relative orientation as a 3D affine transformation is estimated by a 3D LSM approach, which uses ...

The co-occurrence of social adversities in early adolescence and their relationship to cognitive outcomes later in development. [PDF]

open access: yesJCPP Adv
Using latent profile analysis, we investigated the co‐occurrence of adverse experiences in two UK cohorts (UKHLS and ALSPAC, total N > 15,000). We identified four profiles in both cohorts: low adversity, peer difficulties, sibling bullying, and poly‐adversity. 17%–22% of participants reported experiencing several social adversities.

Algorithms for geodesics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Algorithms for the computation of geodesics on an ellipsoid of revolution are given. These provide accurate, robust, and fast solutions to the direct and inverse geodesic problems and they allow differential and integral properties of geodesics to be ...

Mobile 3D visual search using the Helmert transformation of stereo features [PDF]

open access: yes2013 IEEE International Conference on Image Processing, 2013
This paper presents a scheme for mobile 3D visual search that facilitates mobile recognition of 3D objects. We use a multi-view approach to extract the 3D geometric information of the query objects and integrate it into SIFT descriptors. To meet a given transmission bandwidth, we use a rate-constrained quad-tree representation for feature selection and
