2018A portion of the official texts of the City Hall of the Free Royal City of Koprivnica, including meeting transcripts, were written in Croatian or its Kajkavian variant, even though the official language was Latin until 1847 ; for this reason, it is not surprising that in the writings of the parish of St. Nicholas Croatian or Kajkavian is used.
