Abstract Three new cases of spinal cord compression due to vertebral hemangioma are reported. The clinical presentation, with spinal pain, radicular radiation, and paraparesis, is similar to that of primary lymphoma, metastatic tumor, and disc disease. If the characteristic plain film changes of vertical trabeculations and striations are

Capillary hemangioma (infantile periocular hemangioma)
Survey of Ophthalmology, 1994Capillary hemangiomas are the most common orbital tumors in children. They typically arise early in life, grow rapidly during a proliferative phase and then slowly regress in an involutional phase. An asymptomatic 48-year-old woman presented to our hospital with a tumor of the rib incidentally diagnosed on a chest roentgenogram. The patient was investigated and underwent tumor resection of the chest wall. The pathologic study revealed that it was cavernous hemangioma.

Washington, D. C. T H I s IS a report of a series of unusual experiences with cutaneous and mucosal hemangiomas which developed or became symptomatic during pregnancy. A hemangioma may be defined as a benign blood vessel tumor with its components somewhat apart from the general circulatory system. In pregnancy, these vascular tumors first appear during

A cohort of 118 twin pairs with infantile hemangioma was reviewed to determine clinical characteristics and to estimate the relative contribution of hereditary and/or environmental factors to pathogenesis. Questionnaires were sent to parents of twins in Massachusetts and Australia. Zygosity was determined by clinical questions.

(68)Ga DOTATATE uptake in vertebral hemangioma.
Clinical Nuclear Medicine, 2014Somatostatin receptor scintigraphy is an established modality for imaging well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumors. It is known that inflammatory diseases (eg, tuberculosis) may also accumulate somatostatin receptor analogs. Here, we present the case of

HEMANGIOMAS are congenital abnormalities rather than true tumors and most of them are present before birth. Hemangioma of bone is comparatively rare and usually affects the vertebrae, skull, and long bones. It may occur at any age and is equally distributed between the sexes.

CAVERNOUS HEMANGIOMA OF THE VERTEBRAE
, 1929Cavernous hemangioma of the vertebrae presents a characteristic roentgenologic picture which can be readily diagnosed, and yet, of the ten cases reported which produced spinal cord symptoms, none were diagnosed either before necropsy or at operation.

nderstanding the behavior of hemangiomasand vascular malformations is of paramountimportance to the plastic surgeon. The fre-quency of these lesions would almost dictate that everyplastic surgeon would be involved in the treatmentof a patient with some sort of vascular birthmark.

A multifocal cavernous hemangioma was found in the renal pelvis of a young male, in whom intermittent macroscopic hematuria developed. Selective angiography was found to be normal on two occasions. By means of preoperative ureterorenoscopy a presumptive diagnosis of hemangioma was made.
