Report of Active Surveillance for a Masson Tumor of Chest Wall With Spontaneous Resolution

open access: yesThoracic Cancer, Volume 16, Issue 13, July 2025.
While standard management for intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia (IPEH), also known as Masson tumor, is surgical resection, there is a lack of data on the safety of observing this benign entity. A 33 year‐old male with a mass of the chest wall and core biopsy consistent with IPEH opted for active surveillance with spontaneous diminution ...

The impact of histopathology and NAB2-STAT6 fusion subtype in classification and grading of meningeal solitary fibrous tumor/hemangiopericytoma. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Meningeal solitary fibrous tumor (SFT)/hemangiopericytoma (HPC) is a rare tumor with propensity for recurrence and metastasis. Although multiple classification schemes have been proposed, optimal risk stratification remains unclear, and the prognostic ...

Machine Learning Analysis of Single‐Voxel Proton MR Spectroscopy for Differentiating Solitary Fibrous Tumors and Meningiomas

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 38, Issue 5, Page 1-13, May 2025.
Our study reinforces the critical role of the myoinositol peak at 3.56 ppm in distinguishing between solitary fibrous tumors and meningiomas. Notably, combining short and long TE enhances classification performance, particularly in challenging outlier cases.

A Case Report of a Solitary Fibrous Tumor of the Maxillary Sinus

open access: yesReports, 2021
A solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) is a benign neoplasm, firstly described as a mesenchymal tumor of the pleura. Its incidence range in the head and neck region is about 5–27%, but only rarely does it affect paranasal sinuses.

Meningeal solitary fibrous tumour (hemangiopericytoma) in a dog

open access: yesVeterinary Record Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 1, March 2025.
Abstract A 6‐year‐old, male entire French Bulldog was presented for a 2‐month history of progressive ambulatory tetraparesis and occasional cervical pain. Neurological examination was consistent with a right‐sided C1–C5 myelopathy. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed an intradural‐extramedullary mass over the C1–C2 vertebrae.

Lymphoid Aggregates in Canine Cutaneous and Subcutaneous Sarcomas: Immunohistochemical and Gene Expression Evidence for Tertiary Lymphoid Structures

open access: yesVeterinary and Comparative Oncology, Volume 23, Issue 1, Page 10-19, March 2025.
ABSTRACT Canine cutaneous/subcutaneous soft‐tissue sarcomas (STS) are diversely derived mesenchymal neoplasms with a risk of recurrence and/or metastasis depending on the extent of surgical excision and histologic grade. Lymphoid aggregates (LAs) are often described in these tumours but not characterised.

Intracranial arteriovenous malformation and dural arteriovenous fistula embedded in a meningioma—case report and review of the literature [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The association between a vascular malformation and a meningioma is a rare occurrence intracranially. We document the case of a 59-year-old man who presented with a right parietal extra-axial mass with headaches and seizures.
