Ultrasound assessment and scoring of tendinopathy in hemophilia: Development of the Tendon Haemophilic Damage ‐ Ultrasound (THD‐US) method

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Ultrasound, Volume 53, Issue 2, Page 353-358, February 2025.
This study introduces the THD‐US protocol, a novel ultrasound‐based scoring system for assessing tendinopathy in hemophilia patients. It effectively identifies and grades tendon abnormalities, facilitating better management and treatment strategies in clinical practice.

Excellent results of restricted kinematic alignment total knee arthroplasty at a minimum of 10 years of follow‐up

open access: yesKnee Surgery, Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy, Volume 33, Issue 2, Page 654-665, February 2025.
Abstract Purpose While restricted kinematic alignment (rKA) total knee arthroplasty (TKA) with cemented implants has been shown to provide a similar survivorship rate to mechanical alignment (MA) in the short term, no studies have reported on the long‐term survivorship and function.

The Impact of Emicizumab Prophylaxis on Hospitalizations and Emergency Department Visits Among Hemophilia A Patients Is Age Related

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, Volume 72, Issue 2, February 2025.
ABSTRACT Introduction Hemophilia A (HA) therapy poses a significant healthcare burden. In recent years, emicizumab has been approved for prophylaxis. MR Imaging of Hemosiderin Deposition in the Ankle Joints of Patients with Haemophilia: The Contribution of a Multi-Echo Gradient-Echo Sequence—Correlation with Osteochondral Changes and the Number and Chronicity of Joint Bleeds

open access: yesLife
We aim (a) to introduce an easy-to-perform multi-echo gradient-echo sequence (mGRE) for the detection of hemosiderin deposition in the ankle joints of boys with haemophilia (b) to explore the associations between the presence and severity of hemosiderin ...

Comparison between a Novel Knee Arthrometer and Simultaneous Stress Radiography for the Diagnosis of Complete and Partial Acute Anterior Cruciate Ligament Tears

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery, Volume 16, Issue 12, Page 3047-3058, December 2024.
As a novel knee arthrometer, the Ligs arthrometer and its simultaneous stress radiography proved to be valid diagnostic tools to differentiate between complete and partial acute ACL tears. Compared with single instrumental measurement, the combination of the two measurements can further improve the diagnostic value in this regard.
