Abstract Cystitis is a frequent, often chronic and recurrent disease in guinea pigs (Cavia porcellus). This report describes a case of a 2‐year‐old, entire, female Abyssinian guinea pig with fatal cystitis. The animal was presented with progressive chronic cystitis and had previously been treated with several antibiotics and analgesics.

Successful conservative management of an intravesicular haematoma in a cat with prior urethral obstruction

Abstract An 8‐year‐old male neutered domestic shorthair cat was presented for the management of severe anaemia and post‐urethral obstruction care. A large intravesicular lesion, which was suspected to be a haematoma, was identified via abdominal ultrasound. This was suspected to be secondary to bleeding in the urinary tract.
