Remote Magnetomechanical Neuromodulation Uncovers Therapeutic Mechanisms for Alleviating Parkinsonian Symptoms in Freely Moving Mice

Magnetomechanical neuromodulation using magnetic nanodiscs enables remote activation of neurons. In a hemiparkinsonian mouse model, alternating magnetic fields actuate the nanodiscs to generate torque that opens mechanosensitive ion channels within the subthalamic nucleus, thereby modulating basal ganglia motor circuitry.

Physics‐Constrained Constitutive Learning of Rate‐Limiting Timescales for Efficient Hydrogen‐Based Direct Reduction for Green Steel Making

A conversion‐resolved constitutive framework is developed for the hydrogen‐based direct reduction of iron oxide pellets. Effective reaction and transport timescales are inferred directly from measured trajectories and mapped against operating conditions, pellet architecture, and composition. One‐Step Electrodeposition of Iron Oxyhydroxide Onto 3D Porous Graphene Substrates for on Chip Asymmetric Micro‐Supercapacitors

A micro‐supercapacitor with electrodeposited iron oxyhydroxide (FeOOH) as the negative electrode and birnessite manganese oxide (MnO2) as the positive electrode achieves a 2 V working voltage, stable cycling in an aqueous electrolyte, and high energy and power densities of 21 μWh cm‐2 and 2.5 mW cm‐2 respectively.
