Contribution of Turkish Researchers to the World’s Biomedical Literature (1988-1997) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
The contribution of Turkish researchers to positive sciences is increasing. Turkish scientists published more than 5.100 articles in 1998 in scientific journals indexed by the Institute for Scientific Information’s Science Citation Index, which elevated

Extradural hematoma: comparative radiological study between, comatous and noncomatous patients [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
A series of 129 patients harbouring extradural hematomas was analysed considering the neurological state immediately before operation as the most consistent variable. Seventy eight patients were considered to be comatous (Group I) and 51 were noncomatous.

Intracranial Subdural Hematoma after Spinal Anesthesia for Cesarean Section

open access: yesCase Reports in Obstetrics and Gynecology, 2013
Intracranial subdural hematoma following spinal anesthesia is an infrequent occurrence in the obstetric population. Nevertheless, it is a potentially life-threatening complication.

A case of microcystic meningioma associated with acute subdural hematoma in the posterior cranial fossa

open access: yesRadiology Case Reports, 2022
A 53-year-old woman was brought to the emergency room with headache and progressive deterioration of consciousness. Radiological examinations revealed acute subdural hematoma extending along the cerebellar tentorium to the falx cerebri, and a mass lesion

Acute triangulations of polyhedra and R^n [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2009
We study the problem of acute triangulations of convex polyhedra and the space R^n. Here an acute triangulation is a triangulation into simplices whose dihedral angles are acute. We prove that acute triangulations of the n-cube do not exist for n>=4. Further, we prove that acute triangulations of the space R^n do not exist for n>= 5.

Robust Unsupervised Transient Detection With Invariant Representation based on the Scattering Network [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
We present a sparse and invariant representation with low asymptotic complexity for robust unsupervised transient and onset zone detection in noisy environments. This unsupervised approach is based on wavelet transforms and leverages the scattering network from Mallat et al. by deriving frequency invariance.

Management of Traumatic Brain Injury: Application of Guidelines for Diagnostics and Therapy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
In the past years several recommendations have been published concerning the diagnostic work-up and treatment of patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI). They show that with regard to the surgical management of acute epidural hematomas, acute subdural

Acute sub dural hematoma with extra dural hematoma evacuation in ventricular septal defect patient using conventional craniotomy under local anesthesia following peer regimen

open access: yesInternational Journal of Endorsing Health Science Research, 2017
Background: Extradural hematoma (EDH), and acute subdural hematoma (ASDH) are common pathologies encountered in neurosurgical emergencies following traumatic injuries usually secondary to road traffic accident, assault and fall.

Clinical Predictors of outcome in Isolated Traumatic Acute Subdural Hematoma

open access: yesNepal Journal of Neuroscience, 2018
Head injury is the major cause of death in young adult population worldwide with associated high morbidity. The objective of this study is to find out the outcome and factors affecting the outcome in isolated traumatic acute subdural hematoma.

Brain-Shift: Unsupervised Pseudo-Healthy Brain Synthesis for Novel Biomarker Extraction in Chronic Subdural Hematoma [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Chronic subdural hematoma (cSDH) is a common neurological condition characterized by the accumulation of blood between the brain and the dura mater. This accumulation of blood can exert pressure on the brain, potentially leading to fatal outcomes. Treatment options for cSDH are limited to invasive surgery or non-invasive management.
