Spinal subdural hematoma

Annals of Emergency Medicine, 1985
Although spinal subdural hematoma is a rare condition, it has a higher incidence in persons with a bleeding diathesis and in those with a bleeding diathesis who have had a lumbar puncture. We report a case of a 65-year-old woman on oral anticoagulants presenting with atypical symptoms who developed a spinal subdural hematoma over a six-hour period ...

Subacute Subdural Hematoma

2013
Subacute subdural hematoma (SASDH) is a rare entity. We retrospectively reviewed 8 patients with SASDH. Four patients were male and 4 were female, with an age range of 45-87 years (mean, 67.8 years). The minimal level of deterioration ranged from 8 to 14 (mean, 10.5). The deterioration of neurological symptoms was confirmed 4-20 days after injury (mean,

Interhemispheric subdural hematoma

The Journal of Emergency Medicine, 1986
A case of interhemispheric subdural hematoma (ISH) following closed head injury is reported. Our patient had seizures and mental status changes. Cranial computed tomography (CT) demonstrated areas of increased density along the right side of the falx cerebri and over the right leaf of the tentorium cerebelli.

Spinal subdural hematoma

Skeletal Radiology, 1996
We report the case of a 68-year-old patient with a traumatic spinal subdural hematoma. MRI demonstrated an area of abnormal intensity and a black line in the inner part of the intradural space. We anticipate that MRI will help to make one more confident in the preoperative diagnosis of spinal subdural hematoma.

Intrauterine subdural hematoma

Pediatric Radiology, 2000
A patient with neonatal macrocephaly due to bilateral chronic subdural hematoma is presented. There was no history of intrauterine trauma or coagulopathy. Such patients are apparently rare. The pathogenesis of intrauterine chronic subdural hematoma in such patients is unclear.

Endoscopic Management of Chronic Subdural Hematoma

Central European Neurosurgery, 2020
Background Twist drill evacuation, burr hole aspiration, mini-craniotomy, and craniotomy are some of the surgical methods to remove chronic subdural hematoma (CSDH). Endoscopic treatment was also recently found to be useful.

Subperiosteal vs Subdural Drain After Burr-Hole Drainage of Chronic Subdural Hematoma: A Randomized Clinical Trial (cSDH-Drain-Trial).

Neurosurgery, 2019
BACKGROUND The use of a subdural drain (SDD) after burr-hole drainage of chronic subdural hematoma (cSDH) reduces recurrence at 6 mo. Subperiosteal drains (SPDs) are considered safer, since they are not positioned in direct contact to cortical structures,
