Abstract The Cofán communities rely on the Cofán Bermejo Ecological Reserve for their survival and cultural practices. Due to the rugged and inaccessible topography of the reserve in the Northern Ecuadorian Amazon region, limited biomonitoring and ecological characterization studies of the ecosystem health have been conducted.

Response of Amblyseius swirskii to deltamethrin
The analysis of toxicological and molecular data reveals target‐site as well as metabolic modifications associated with the resistance to deltamethrin in Amblyseius swirskii colonies. However, semi‐field assays show increased run‐off behavior after treatments with the same pesticide.

Silencing Prosbeta‐5 and Prosbeta‐1 resulted in high mortality in Tetranychus urticae, identifying them as potential target genes for double‐stranded RNA‐based biopesticides using spray‐induced gene silencing (SIGS). Abstract BACKGROUND Because of the excessive use of synthetic chemicals, the two‐spotted spider mite, Tetranychus urticae Koch, a highly ...

Dicyphus hesperus, a zoophytophagous predator, effectively controls Bemisia tabaci in tomato greenhouses. Highly zoophagous lines rapidly reduced whitefly populations without causing significant damage to tomatoes, whereas lowly zoophagous lines were equally efficient over time but caused more damage.

Growing interest in optimizing biocontrol traits, particularly due to Nagoya Protocol constraints, necessitates understanding their heritability and genetic variation. This systematic review of 5209 studies on arthropod biocontrol agents yielded 94 relevant articles, with 42 providing heritability values.
