Inspired by the Dyson sphere concept, Xu, Yang, and co‐workers designed a perforated‐shell evaporator with an internal non‐evaporating core that diverts incident sunlight to drive self‐generated internal convection for vapor removal.

Our computational model of the optical absorption from multiwalled carbon nanotubes suggests the optical absorption depends strongly on the in‐plane electrical conductivity, and weakly on the through‐plane conductivity. Such strong absorption enables solar‐to‐thermal conversion for heat scavenging in cold climates and radiative cooling in hot climates,
