A hemiterpene glucoside as a probing deterrent of the bean aphid, Megoura crassicauda, from a non-host vetch, Vicia hirsuta

Phytochemistry, 2006
The bean aphid, Megoura crassicauda Mordvilko, feeds selectively on plants belonging to the genus Vicia (Fabaceae). However, it never infests the tiny vetch, V. hirsuta (L.) Gray. The aphid appeared to discriminate between host and non-host plants by tasting specific chemicals during penetration of its stylet into the plant tissues.

Two new hemiterpene glycosides and one new phenolic glycoside from the roots of Securidaca inappendiculata Hassk

Phytochemistry Letters, 2017
Two new hemiterpene glycosides, named as securiterpenoside B (1), and securiterpenoside C (2), and one new phenolic glycoside, named as securiphenoside A (3) were isolated from the roots of Securidaca inappendiculata Hassk. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of 1D and 2D NMR data and HRESIMS and comparisons with published data.

(2Z)-4-hydroxy-2-methyl-2-buten-1-yl-ß-D-glucoside and (2Z)-1-hydroxy-2-methyl-2-buten-4-yl-ß-D-glucoside: Two New Hemiterpene Glucosides from Vitis vinifera Leaves

Natural Product Letters, 1995
Abstract (2Z)-4-Hydroxy-2-methyl-2-buten-1-yl-s-D-glucopyranoside 1a and (2Z)-1-Hydroxy-2-methyl-2-buten-4-yl-s-D-glucopyranoside 2a were identified in a glycosidic extract obtained from Riesling grapevine leaves by XAD-2 adsorption and MeOH elution.
