IgG Glycosylation‐Dependent CLEC7A Signaling Drives Podocyte Dysfunction in Lupus Nephritis

Objective Lupus nephritis (LN) is a severe complication of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) that can lead to end‐stage kidney disease and increased mortality. IgG from patients with LN displays abnormal glycosylation, contributing to podocyte injury.

Supine‐Position Shoulder Arthroscopy Using the Anterior Portal as the Initial Approach

Abstract Traditional shoulder arthroscopy mostly adopts the beach chair position or lateral decubitus position. Beach chair position is associated with the risk of cerebral hypoperfusion due to the vertical distance between the carotid artery and the heart, whereas lateral decubitus may induce brachial plexus palsy caused by excessive traction.

Blood pressure effects of SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP‐1 receptor agonists: Mechanisms, trial evidence and Real‐world data

SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP‐1 receptor agonists modestly lower blood pressure across diverse patient populations, including those without diabetes. These effects appear largely independent of glycaemic control and offer additive value in high‐risk patients with overlapping comorbidities.

Possible therapeutic repositioning of valproic acid: From epileptic seizures to acute kidney injury

Valproic acid, an anticonvulsant, may be repositioned to prevent acute kidney injury due to ischemia followed by reperfusion. It preserves renal functions, electrolyte homeostasis and active sodium transport in kidney tubules, and blocks the onset of hypertension.
