Hemodynamic parameters assessment
2012 IEEE 2nd Portuguese Meeting in Bioengineering (ENBENG), 2012The present work focuses an experimental and theoretical approach to non-invasive cardiovascular (CV) system monitoring. The CV diseases are currently one of the leading causes of death in the developed countries. The development of early diagnostic tools contributes for the early identification of important markers in the CV development.

Hemodynamic parameters following pelvic exenteration
American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1983Hemodynamic parameters were prospectively studied in 31 patients who underwent pelvic exenteration. With the use of a thermistor-tipped pulmonary artery catheter, hemodynamic parameters were calculated during the intraoperative and acute (less than 48 hours) postoperative interval.

Echocardiographic evaluation of hemodynamic parameters
Critical Care Medicine, 2007Hemodynamic assessment is a constant and common task in critically ill and injured patients. Correct interpretation of this data is vital to implement the appropriate intervention, if any. It can be difficult to properly interpret derived and measured data from a pulmonary artery catheter for optimal care of these difficult patients.

Measurement of hemodynamic parameters
Proceedings of the 4th International Symposium on Applied Sciences in Biomedical and Communication Technologies, 2011The paper deals with the design of method for primary screening of atherosclerosis based on hemodynamic parameters. The method combines sensing of blood pressure using two-cuffs system with sensing of plethysmography and electro-cardiography signals.

Hemodynamic parameters in hypertensive diabetic patients
Journal of Hypertension, 2016Despite adequate glycemic and blood pressure control, diabetic hypertensives remain at increased cardiovascular risk. Aortic stiffness and pulse pressure (PP) amplification may provide complementary information to correct cardiovascular risk. We aim to determine whether these hemodynamic parameters are interrelated or not and to explore the factors ...

Are Hemodynamic Parameters Predictors of Mortality?
Heart Failure Clinics, 2009This article addresses a question that the authors consider to be somewhat rhetorical: are hemodynamic parameters predictors of mortality? It reviews the specific hemodynamic abnormalities and pathophysiologic consequences distinctive to the patient who has decompensation and addresses the data that implicate abnormal hemodynamics as a treatment target

Determining Hemodynamic Parameters
2010Gabriel et al.1 have devised experimental research using 32 male pigs, which were randomly aligned into groups and subgroups as depicted in Table 29.1. It is noteworthy because of the two different strategies of cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) as well as different types of lung perfusion analyzed in this research.

Carotid hemodynamic parameters in hemodialysis patients
International Urology and Nephrology, 2008Atherosclerotic vascular disease is a major cause of morbidity and mortality for patients with end-stage renal disease on maintenance hemodialysis. Early atherosclerotic changes of the arterial wall can be evaluated by intima-media thickness (IMT), presence and structure of plaques and parameters of vascular resistance. The aim of the present study has

Coronary arteries have high curvatures, and hence, flow through them causes disturbed flow patterns, resulting in stenosis and atherosclerosis. This in turn decreases the myocardial flow perfusion, causing myocardial ischemia and infarction. Therefore, in order to understand the mechanisms of these phenomena caused by high curvatures and branching of ...

Hemodynamic parameters of failing infrainguinal bypass grafts
The American Journal of Surgery, 1995To assess the relationship of duplex ultrasound hemodynamic parameters in stenotic vein grafts with events such as graft thrombosis or surgical revisions. We studied 35 patent infrainguinal bypass grafts that were observed by means of color duplex graft mapping using a surveillance protocol.During the 11.2 month mean follow-up interval, 10 grafts ...
