Reversal of neurovascular decoupling and cognitive impairment in patients with end‐stage renal disease during a hemodialysis session: Evidence from a comprehensive fMRI analysis

open access: yesHuman Brain Mapping, Volume 44, Issue 3, Page 989-1001, February 15, 2023., 2023
We confirmed the reversibility of cognitive impairment and NV decoupling in patients with ESRD after a single hemodialysis session, highlighting the potential value of NV coupling as an objective and physiologic biomarker of brain dysfunction in ESRD.

Zinc Acetate Hydrate Supplementation versus Polaprezinc Supplementation for Improving Hypozincemia in Hemodialysis Patients: A Randomized Clinical Trial

open access: yesInternational Journal of Nephrology, Volume 2023, Issue 1, 2023., 2023
Zinc supplementation may ameliorate zinc deficiency in maintenance hemodialysis patients; however, no standard protocol has been established. This study aimed to investigate the effects of zinc acetate hydrate (ZAH) and polaprezinc (PPZ) as zinc supplements in hemodialysis patients.

What Is the Normal Trajectory of C‐Reactive Protein, Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate, Plasma Fibrinogen and D‐Dimer after Two‐Stage Exchange for Periprosthetic Joint Infection?

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery, Volume 14, Issue 11, Page 2987-2994, November 2022., 2022
A flow chart was shown for the included studies. Abbreviations: PJI: periprosthetic joint infection; THA, total hip arthroplasty; TKA, total knee arthroplasty. Objective C‐reactive protein (CRP), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), plasma fibrinogen and D‐Dimer are used as diagnostic biomarkers of prosthetic joint infection (PJI) after total joint ...

Association of serum selenium with anemia‐related indicators and risk of anemia

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 9, Issue 6, Page 3039-3047, June 2021., 2021
Higher serum selenium is associated with an increased serum iron level, MCHC, and hemoglobin level and a decreased risk of anemia. Due to the narrow physiological range of selenium, the relationships between selenium‐ and anemia‐related indicators and risk of anemia were nonlinear.
