Replacement of Polymer Fibers with Hemp Fibers in Concrete

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2020
Abstract In our experiment, we tried to replace polymer fibers with hemp fibers and verify whether the properties and advantages of polymer fibers in concrete will be retained even with this interchange. Polymer fibers are added to the mixer to produce fresh concrete or mortar, and we did the same in our case.

Industrial Hemp Fibers: An Overview [PDF]

open access: yesFibers, 2019
Industrial hemp (Cannabis sativa) is one of the most available and widely produced bast fibers with high cellulose content. Interest in these fibers is warranted due to environmental protection challenges as well as their inherent properties such as low density, high specific strength, and stiffness.
