A Self-Tuning Solution of the Cosmological Constant Problem [PDF]
We discuss the four-dimensional cosmological constant problem in a five-dimensional setting. A scalar field coupled to the SM forms dynamically a smooth brane with four-dimensional Poincare invariance, independently of SM physics.

Human carcinoma cells with different p53 status exposed to a combination of bioactive substances, resveratrol and berberine, revealed different responses in cell viability via p53-dependant apoptosis pathway activation.Using 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-5-(3-carboxymethoxyphenyl)-2-(4-sulfophenyl)-2H-tetrazolium (MTS) assay, we investigated various and

This study develops gallium‐doped V2C MXene nanozymes (Ga‐V2C) to treat acetaminophen‐induced liver injury through multi‐death pathway blockade and hepatocyte regeneration. Unlike conventional single‐target therapies like N‐acetylcysteine, Ga‐V2C nanozymes enable oxidative stress suppression, apoptosis, and ferroptosis inhibition, and enhanced ...

Biodegradable Adhesive Systems for Bio‐Integrated Applications
Biodegradable adhesives provide temporary yet reliable adhesion while degrading into safe, non‐toxic by‐products under physiological or environmental conditions. This review summarizes recent developments in physical and chemical adhesion mechanisms—including hydrogen bonding, catechol chemistry, amine‐carboxyl coupling, and emerging diazirine and urea

ERM Inhibition Confers Ferroptosis Resistance through ROS‐Induced NRF2 Signaling
ERM inhibition disrupts ERM‐actin interactions, elevating ROS and triggering KEAP1 degradation, which stabilizes and activates NRF2. Nuclear NRF2 induces cytoprotective genes, notably HMOX1, enhancing redox buffering and suppressing lipid peroxidation to resist erastin‐induced ferroptosis.

Wilson Loops in N=2 Superconformal Yang-Mills Theory [PDF]
We present a three-loop O(g^6) calculation of the difference between the expectation values of Wilson loops evaluated in N=4 and superconformal N=2 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory with gauge group SU(N) using dimensional reduction.

Secretion of proalbumin by canavanine-treated Hep-G2 cells.
The two processing sites in the conversion of preproalbumin to albumin are marked by arginine residues. Therefore, to study the mechanisms of albumin processing and secretion, the arginine residues of nascent albumin were replaced with canavanine by the incubation of Hep-G2 cells with this arginine analog.

A new cerebrocortical organoid model using isogenic hiPSCs with familial Alzheimer's mutations recapitulates key AD features, including amyloid‐beta and phospho‐Tau aggregation, neuronal hyperexcitability, and synapse loss. Single‐cell RNA‐seq reveals aberrant pathways in excitatory and inhibitory neurons.

We consider a certain ${\cal N}=1$ supersymmetric, SO(3)$\times$SO(3) invariant, subsector of the dyonic ISO(7)-gauged maximal supergravity in four-dimensions. The theory contains two scalar fields and two pseudoscalar fields.
